The wrist watch has been somewhat of an iconic piece of jewelry, one worn by all people of all shapes and sizes.

And throughout the years, the wrist watch has developed some interesting features, with one of the more high-tech watches containing a phone, SMS, and all those other snazzy features.

With all that said, the watch that just happens to appear here was---probably---unintentional; it's actually an iPod nano strapped onto a silicone rubber band. But it's a watch that works, with so many other features that most watches just can't do, including listening to music, storing photos, listening to the radio, and being a pedometer (if you have Nike+, you can track your own workout as well).

While the watch band is a little bulky up close, the material is very sturdy, doesn't seem to wear easily, and provides a quite snug fit for your iPod nano.

In short, it's a great watch band (and the iPod nano is a great watch).

Material

The TikTok watch band is made of silicone rubber, along with some stainless steel clasps to hold the watch together. The material is very sturdy, very high-grade, and you can just tell that the band is made of some high-quality material. While a bit thick (something I'll cover later on), the material itself is high-quality and very sturdy; something you would expect from a $40 watch band.

Design

The watch band design is very -- for lack of better words -- slick. The iPod nano fits very snugly into the band, and it almost looks as if it's a watch, and not an iPod put into a band. It's also extremely easy to put the iPod into the band; you just snap it in and you're done. Also, the iPod doesn't budge at all from its spot, so you don't have to worry about it slipping out of its berth. I do have a slight problem with the thickness of the band though, as from up close, the watch just looks enormous. The band is very thick -- around 9.62 mm including the height of the iPod nano -- and for some, that can pose some problems. But if you don't mind overly large watches, the design should be right up your alley.

Functionality

The iPod nano as a watch by using the TikTok is actually quite functional. The iPod nano doesn't have an option to keep the face awake 24/7, but you can set it up so that right when you press the power button, the clock face appears. Also, quite surprisingly, you can use the iPod nano as an iPod quite comfortably from your wrist; the headphone wires do get in the way sometimes -- and it does look a little odd to have a wire coming out of your watch -- but for the most part, it works quite well. It's almost as if Apple made this product to be a watch, and the TikTok wristband does a great job of preserving all of the functionalities of the iPod nano from the wrist.

The TikTok is a great wristband accessory for your iPod nano, but don't expect it to be lightweight. This is a heavy-duty, sturdy, and quite large wristband for your iPod nano, and I don't see this appealing to people who like smaller, lighter weighted watches. But for me personally, the design is great, the watch is made of some high-quality material, and it's actually quite comfortable. I don't really know how badly you can mess up a wristband, but LunaTik has done a solid job with the design, quality, and functionality.
